The Helderberg International School is presently safely situated within the gated community of Heritage Park in Somerset West.  The school was founded in 2000 in response to requests from parents in Cape Town who had a common dream for a school that would offer their children a high-quality international education within a caring environment. In 2005 the organization SEK, through its subdivision IES (International Education Systems), purchased the school.

At Helderberg International School our most important goal is to achieve the students’ academic success but we also place great emphasis on helping to create rounded individuals who can succeed in any walk of life.

Our boys and girls are always encouraged to live life to the full – they learn and have fun doing it!  The core curriculum is supplemented by a co-curricular program of cultural, social, service and sporting activities. Confident, happy and caring children, scholars, gifted musicians, creative artists, great performers and talented sportsmen and women alike are shaped and encouraged.
